Meet The Staff !

Hello,I'm Jenna. I have been a veterinary assistant here at the clinic since I was in high school, and started back in 2001. I feel like I have literally grown up here! Even when I was a small child,I knew I wanted to work with animals as a career. My  compassion for animals, and excitement  for meeting new people helped me to decide that  I would continue my education through AAHA's online program to become a registered veterinary technician. My  husband, Steve, and I both share the same love for animals. I enjoy  dentistry, and surgery; and I enjoy taking care of my cat and dog. At home, we have a wonderful new son named Hunter!

Hi, I'm Katie Schadenfroh. I started at the clinic in 2002 as a veterinary assistant. I always loved animals but never imagined I would have the opportunity to work with them every day. But after being here for just a short time, I realized there was nothing else I'd rather do. I am eager to come to work every day because I learn something, or get to meet a new pet. I am continuing my education with Purdue University distance learning, in order to become a registered veterinary technician. At my house my husband Bobby and I have a daughter and a son, and also four cats, two dogs, and one pet duck to liven things up.

Welcome to HVC! My name is Sereta, and I have been a part of the the team since 1995. Like most others on our team, I have training in more than one area of the hospital. Though I'm currently an office technician, I do have the training to help as a veterinary assistant, or kennel technician. I enjoy working here for several reasons, but my most favorite is being surrounded by other team members and clients who love animals as much as I do! My family includes my husband, two daughters, two sons, and a small wonderful dog.

Hi, my name is Beth, and I am a receptionist at HVC. My husband and I have lived in Columbus since 2005, and we have one dog, Annie, that we rescued in the fall of 2007. While I am new to HVC, I have been working with animals in various fields since 2003. The purrs and tail wags we get every day is what makes working here so satisfying. Please call and we'll do everything we can to help you!

Hi, I am Sarah. I am a veterinary assistant. I enjoy working with animals and their owners, and am considering a career in this field while I am attending Purdue. I stay very active year around with watersports, such as skiing and scuba diving. My friends and I love to shop whenever we can! At my house we have one dog, one cat, one iguana, and three fish!

Hello! My name is Kelsey, and I am a high school student who works at the clinic after school and weekends. I would like to become a veterinarian or a vet tech. I have learned how to handle many animals, with many different temperaments. The experience I gain working here  will help me in the future to reach my dreams! At home I have many pets, including horses, dogs, cats, and a bird. When I am not at work, I like to hang out with my friends, study, and listen to music.

Hi, I'm Betsy Stephens. I am originally from Bicknell, In. but moved to Ft Wayne where I graduated from International Business College as a veterinary technician. I have been here at the clinic since the fall of 2007. I love seeing all the different animals that come to the clinic but particularly love Yorkies! I have a Yorkie named Emma. I enjoy the Columbus area and hope to be here for a while.

Hello everyone, I am Hailey! I am a student at North Decatur High School. I started here at the clinic as a health careers student and realized taking care of animals was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I like working here because everyone is like a big, happy family. I learn alot, and appreciate all the new technology I get to learn about, such as digital radiographs and laser therapy. I have been accepted into college for veterinary technology in the fall and look forward to becoming a registered tech. At home I have many animals to take care of, and I like to go places with my friends too.

Hello everyone, I am Kara! I attend Purdue University, studying veterinary technology.Interesting and exciting  medicine occurs daily around here! When I am not at school or at work, I volunteer in the community, and run around with my friends. At home my family has horses, dogs and cats that keep me busy with their care.
