Dr. Gregory Baer
Dr. Gregory E. Baer graduated with a B.S and D.V.M from Purdue University in 1980. He worked at a mixed animal practice for two years in Indianapolis, before joining the staff at the Hope Veterinary Clinic in 1982. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine,but greatly enjoys internal medicine; ultrasonography; and reproduction. Dr. Baer and his wife have three children, the oldest of which,Cierra, is a practicing veterinarian in Charlotte, N.C. Among the four legged members of his family are a dog named Missy, and thirty-five horses.
Dr. David Davidson
Dr.David Davidson graduated from Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1977. He started practice at our clinic in 1980, where he is the senior partner/ president of Hope Veterinary Clinic. His main interests include laser soft tissue surgery; orthopedic surgeries; dermatology, including problem ear treatments; and internal medicine. He and his wife Diana, have several cats as the four legged members of their family.
Dr. Nicole Witt
Dr. Nicole D. Witt enjoyed moving back to her hometown of Columbus. After her 2010 graduation from Purdue, she practiced several years in West Lafayette at a companion animal veterinary clinic. She especially enjoys small animal surgery, general wellness, and ophthamology. She and her husband Robert have two wonderful children of the two legged variety, and THREE four legged family members!
Dr. Rachel Proffitt
Dr. Rachel Proffitt is a graduate of Auburn University School of Medicine. After practicing in several different states, she moved to Columbus. Dr. Proffitt has a special interest in preventative care, internal medicine, and ultrasonography. She and her husband Justin have a new puppy named Forrest!
Dr. Stephen Newton
Dr. Stephen E. Newton is a 1985 graduate of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. As a new vet fresh out of school he spent three years in a rural community practicing primarily on farm animals. Originally from Columbus, he came back to Bartholomew County in 1988. During his 25 plus years with the Hope Veterinary Clinic he has developed interests in oncology and chemotherapy, management of diabetic dogs and cats, geriatric care and internal medicine. He and his wife Lisa live in the Rockcreek area with two dogs, cows, sheep and too many cats. They have three children, Margaret, Len,and Katie.
Hi! My name is Jane Haza, CVPM. I'm the practice manager for the Hope Veterinary Clinics. A lifelong love for animals prompted me to come to work for the clinic back in 1999. Every day I get to see the furry faces coming in to seek our care. I enjoy seeing the bond between the pets and their owners- the strength of love there is amazing! I graduated from St. Petersburg College, and am a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. My husband and I have five rescued greyhounds, and we have had "many" rescued pet rats. I also like to collect fossils, enjoy reading and history.

Hello, I'm Sandy. I joined the HVC team as an office technician in 1992, and I have never felt the gratification at any other job that I feel here! I enjoy helping and educating our clients to raise healthier pets. My husband Tony and I have a son named Cole, an Aussie named Maverick, and a kitty named Jovi.
